September sometimes includes the re-installation of a regular exercise routine. Even if you have been exercising all summer long, the daily routine of exercising may need the proverbial “shot in the arm”. I get really excited about walking in the fall. I love to take my dogs out and tool around Millington . It relaxes me and gives me time to think quietly as I go, or to maybe think about nothing at all. The walk takes on a different shine when one of my kids or my husband accompanies me. Then we have a collectively peaceful time together, which is a novelty in our busy lives. Can you think of something that you would enjoy doing this fall to add a new form of movement to your routine? It may be something we can add to our schedule at Heart and Soul or just a technique that helps you to exercise regularly. Maybe you would enjoy joining our walking club at the studio, or maybe you have another idea that we would all benefit from. I look forward to hearing from you!!

Sometimes just staying motivated to exercise at all can be difficult when the weather turns cold. The sole idea of the looming subzero temperatures and indoor activities from December-March and are enough for me to keep myself moving. However, to change things up a bit, I'm thinking about joining a running club that meets twice weekly (Yes, even in the dead of winter.) I'm not sure if this is something that will suit me. But, I'm willing to give it a try. Keep movin' friends! ~ Suzy. Posted on 8/24/2008, 7:59:34 PM.
Suzy I think you will love a running club! You have had tremendous success while just running by yourself. I think meeting together and planning runs through the fall, and maybe even the winter, with other strong runners will just motivate you that much more!!
proud of you!! ~ stephanie. Posted on 8/25/2008, 7:37:05 AM.
